Limca record 2011 to Shri Ram Leela Club Barara, Ambala

The world’s Tallest effigy of Ravana
 which was burnt on 
28 September 2009
 on occasion of vijaydashmi at Barara town of District Ambala.
 The detail about the occasion.....
1.    Total height of the Ravana  175 ft.
       2.    Width of above effigy  35 ft. (at chest 
3.Length of time, fire crackers burnt  
                             3 hours continuously(During the whole function)
                       4.    Crackers of inside effigy busted   30 minutes        continuously  (when effigies were fired)
5.    People crowd on the occasion-There were more than one lakh


                                                                    people from Haryana and near by states. Gathering was started since early morning and continued till the end of programme in the evening.

6.    Ground                                                   4 acres agriculture land was specially managed for event .
7.Expenditure                                  more than 5 lacks Rs. (INC) were spent only on Ravanas effigy.
8.Why Ravana got 175ft. Height? Reasons:-
Total hight of Ravana was 175 feets.
in which 105 feet’s were dedicated to Ravana the great and rest of 70 feet’s were dedicated to different 7 evils prevailing in our  country and society. Like:-
A. 10ft against terrorism
B.10ft. against female foeticide
C.10ft against communalism
D.10ft. against casteism
E. 10ft against increasing population.
F.10ft against corruption
G.10ft against dowry
And thus Ravana the great got total hight of 175 feets.
9.    Ravana as a symbol of communal harmony- 20 muslim workers from agra were invited for building the structure of Ravana the Great. They lived for 4 months continuously at Barara along with their families. During their work period, they observed regular ROZA(fast) during the holy month of Ramzan. All facilities for performing their Ramzan rituals were provided by Sh. Ram Leela club.
